Innovation award finalists for their work, Paulus Quiros have been designing and engineering bespoke bikes for almost a decade. Taking an academic approach to bike building, they combine high technical specifications and complex engineering in an aesthetic design.
Following on from a successful visit to The UK Handmade Bike Show which saw them receive the “Urban Cyclist” magazine Best Town Bike award for their Pike fixed gear bike, Paulus Quiros Cycles will be making a return to Spin this year. The expanded range of Pike Urban bikes are now available as “Off the Peg” models in 3 sizes.
Ultra-cycling Record holder and author, Dominic Irvine will also speak at Spin offering an insight into his own experience of exactly what it takes to excel in this gruelling and challenging sport. Both Jonathan and Dominic will be discussing the unique collaboration they have been working on and that has produced what Dominic has described as “the best bike I have ever ridden”. Following on from the lessons learnt developing Dominic Irvine’s bike, Paulus Quiros will exhibit a new Gravel Bike clearly aimed at the adventure rider looking for a speedy and stable ride
Paulus Quiros have developed a new Ladies Road model that addresses the often-overlooked problems faced by smaller female riders regarding handling and ride quality and an update to the ever-popular Reynolds 953 Stainless Steel race geometry road bike.
Pilot House Wheels, who share premises with PQ, will also be in attendance, showing examples of the custom wheel builds that they can create using their own range of Rims and Hubs. Again, these were very well received at Bespoked, particularly the c1kg climbing wheels produced by Pilot House wheel-builder Justin Russell.
